St David’s Hospice is a local charity, caring for local people, delivering specialist care to adult patients with life-limiting illnesses or those in need of end of life care and their families.

Every year, this touches the lives of over 1,000 people within our local communities from across the counties of Conwy, Gwynedd and Anglesey.

We offer 24 hour care, 365 days a year providing a clinical service alongside emotional, physical and spiritual support.

In our Day Therapy Centres (Llandudno and Bangor), we provide patient care, bereavement, and counselling services, whilst our Inpatient Units (Llandudno and Holyhead) offer symptom control, respite, and end of life care.

This year it will cost over £5 million to run St David’s Hospice with just 9% of that figure coming from the Welsh Government and Local Health Board. The majority of this comes from community fundraising. None of these costs are passed to the patients, their families or carers, because St David’s Hospice care is free to all.

The half marathon series includes the Snowdonia Half Marathon on the 22nd August, Caernarfon Half Marathon on the 19th September, Bangor Half Marathon on 31st October and the newly named, St David’s Hospice Conwy Half Marathon on 21st November. Each participant running for the Hospice will receive their place for free, in return for a minimum sponsorship.
You can choose to take part in one half marathon (minimum sponsorship level for Snowdonia Half, Caernarfon Half & Bangor Half £75 each and Conwy £100), or all four to complete the series (£200 minimum sponsorship for all four)
