Getting to the start in Llanrwst & Parking
From the A55 take junction 19 and head along the A470 towards llanrwst for about 10 minutes, you will see the parking signs and marshals as you enter the town (Car Park 1) If this becomes full, continue along the A470 through the town for approx 1/4 mile and follow the parking signs (Car Park 2)

Race HQ / Enquiries – Opens at 8:00am
Is at Glasdir, right next to car park 1 and a 2 minute walk to the start finish area. Glasdir, Plas yn Dre, Llanrwst, Conwy, North Wales, LL26 0DF
There will be 4 drink stations plus water at the finish. The first is around 2miles at the top of the first hill, then 3.5, the third approx. at mile 6 and the fourth about mile 9, water is provided in a 330ml sealed bottle, you may take more than one but if you require lots of water whilst running we would recommend you bring your own water bottle.
Light refreshments, Tea, Coffee, sandwiches, cakes, soft drinks etc will be available to purchase at the start/finish area from the cricket club house, all money raised will go towards the local cricket team. Please go along and support the club.
Toilets / Changing
Toilets are located at number pick up, and at the start finish in the cricket club, also public loos, there is limited changing and showering facilities at the cricket club and more at the leisure centre (Car Park 2) please note the leisure centre car park is locked at 1pm.
First Aid stations will be located at the start and finish and on course. In order to help our medical team, help you it is critical you fill out the medical history information on the back of your race number. If you are injured or unwell to carry on at any stage please notify the nearest marshal who will call for First Aid assistance. It will be the discretion of the medical team if they transport you back to the finish.
If you retire from the race please return your Timing Chip &if you plan not to return to the finish, it’s really important that you let the nearest Marshal to you know and give them your race number and Timing Chip. This is so we can account for you at the end of the race. It is your responsibility to arrange transport back to the start.
Tshirts / Medals / Prizes
There will be a Tshirt and medal for all runners to collect at the finish. Presentation of 1st, 2nd, 3rd will be when both 3rd places have crossed the line, vet prizes will be presented at 12:15pm. You must be at the presentation to claim your prize, we will not post it.
You may leave a small bag at the baggage area during the race, although every effort will be made to securely store your baggage, Please DO NOT leave any valuables, cash. Jewellery etc in your bag as we cannot be held responsible for any loss or damage. Items not in a bag maybe refused or left at your own risk.
Normal road running shoes are fine for this race.
If you ordered a Technical Tshirt or hoodie online, these can be picked up from the merchandise trailer before or after the race, we will also have some race day merchandise to buy on the day (Cash only)

Headphones are not allowed during this race in accordance with UK Athletics rules as the course does not have a full road closure with the exception of bone-conducting headphones.

Please be mindful and respect local residents and DO NOT throw your bottles, energy gels in the lake in gardens or over walls etc. Please leave your litter at the nearest water station or with the nearest marshal where possible when a bin is not available.
Anyone caught littering will be disqualified and removed from the results.
Cut off times
Time limit – We ask runners to be able to keep a pace of 12- 15min mile and complete a half marathon in 3-3:30hours. If you are running slower than this pace, you will still be able to finish, however, when directed to do so you will need to run on pavements and run as a pedestrian obeying all signals and the highway code. We cannot guarantee volunteer marshals will continue to be on course and therefore it is your responsibility to look at the route and follow the course signs.
Where there are any road closures these will re-open to vehicular traffic on a rolling basis at an approximate pace of 15min mile.
