Big Rock 10K, 5K, Beer Run

10K: Starts at 10am in the village near the Spar shop.
Cost: Affiliated £20 Unaffiliated £22 (YOU MUST BE AT LEAST 15 YRS OLD ON RACEDAY)
Includes a Quality bespoke medal and good quality Tshirt.

10K race entry includes free entry into the music festival  (see poster at bottom of this page)

5K Reggae Run: Starts at 12:30pm at the beach cafe.
Cost: Affiliated £14 Unaffiliated £16 (No age restriction, this is just a fun run)
Includes a Quality bespoke Reggae medal and good quality Reggae Tshirt.

1 Mile Beer Run: Starts at 2pm at the beach cafe.
Cost: Affiliated £16 Unaffiliated £18 (YOU MUST BE AT LEAST 18 YEARS OLD) a non alcohol beer is also available, PLEASE LET US KNOW IF YOU REQUIRE THIS OPTION.
Includes 4 Beers, a quality bespoke medal and a good quality Tshirt.

1 mile Fun Run starts: 11:30am
Cost: £3  Entry is on the day only. Open to all ages but we do ask for children under 7 to be accompanied by an adult.
Includes A bespoke medal.

Fun Run entry fee will be donated to Light Up Pen

Last date for your name printed on your race number is 2 weeks before race day.

Race Day Information

Getting to the start in Penmaenmawr & Parking

From the A55 take junction 16 and follow the signs and marshals for parking into Penmaenmawr
Sat Nav post code: LL34 6DA.

Parking is very limited in the village, the only 2 car parks will fill up in a matter of minutes, so please follow the marshals instructions for additional parking areas on roads around the village.
Important! when parking make sure you leave enough space so the emergency services can pass, do not block access to peoples driveways.

Race HQ / Enquiries

Is on the promenade by the finish area.

Number & Chip

Are collect on the day from race hq after 8am

Drink Stations

There will be a drink station at mile 3 (10K) plus water at the finish in all races.

Toilets / Changing

Toilets are located at the start and finish.
Showers and changing is available (TBC) at the Football club, 1/2 mile from the start and finish line, follow the signs.

First Aid

First Aid stations will be located at the start and finish and on course. In order to help our medical team to help you it is critical you fill out the medical history information on the back of your race number. If you are injured or unwell to carry on at any stage please notify the nearest marshal who will call for First Aid assistance. It will be the discretion of the medical team if they transport you back to the finish.

If you retire from the race please return your timing chip, & if you plan not to return to the finish, it’s really important that you let the nearest Marshal to you know and give them your race number & Timing Chip. This is so we can account for you at the end of the race. It is your responsibility to arrange transport back to the start.

T-shirts / Medals / Prizes

There will be a Tshirt and medal for all runners to collect at the finish. 10K Presentation of 1st, 2nd, 3rd overall and vet prizes will be when both 3rd places have crossed the line.
You must be at the presentation to claim your prize, we will not post it.


You may leave a small bag (50cmx30cmx20cm) at the baggage area during the race where, if possible it will be manned , and although every effort will be made to securely store your baggage, Please DO NOT leave any valuables, cash. Jewellery etc in your bag as we cannot be held responsible for any loss or damage. Items not in a bag maybe refused or left at your own risk.

A baggage facility may not be available at each event.


10K results will be available on later in the day.
