Race Day Info

Race number and chips are to be collected on race day after 8am.

The 5K & 10K will take place on October 22nd 2017, 9:45am & 10:30am. Fun Run at 9.15am.

Race hq (Mold Leisure centre) opens at 8am.

  • Baggage can be stored in the leisure centre main hall, there are changing facilities and showers, Tshirts and medals will be given out at the finish line, there are 330ml water bottles at 5k and the finish. Presentation of prizes is at 11am.
  • Results will be available on runwales.com later in the day, photos will be available on mickhall-photos.com
  • There will be road closures in operation, residential access will be maintained throughout the event so there maybe some cars on the road,
    please take care and listen 1to the marshals instructions.

Parking: Roads will be closed from the Wrexham Road at the B5444 Mold Bypass roundabout to Gas Lane/Brook Street from 8:55am, therefore to access parking after this time you must use the ring road A494/A5119.
There are plenty of car parks around the town (charges may apply). The nearest parking to the start are at:- Ysgol Maes Garmon, Conwy Street (CH7 1JB) and the other on the A5119 next to the Co-op (charges apply). Ysgol Maes Garmon will fill up pretty quickly and, if arriving during road closures please follow instructions above to alternative parking . Please try an avoid parking along Brook Street & Ffordd Nercwys as this is part of the race route.

First Aid

First Aid cover will be provided by a professional medical team. First Aid station will be located at the start and finish and on course. In order to help our medical team, help you it is critical you fill out the medical history information on the back of your race number. If you are injured or unwell to carry on at any stage please notify the nearest marshal who will call for First Aid assistance. It will be the discretion of the medical team if they transport you back to the finish.

If you retire from the race please return your timing chip, & if you plan not to return to the finish, it’s really important that you let the nearest Marshal to you know and give them your race number & Timing Chip. This is so we can account for you at the end of the race. It is your responsibility to arrange transport back to the start.

Baggage

You may leave a small bag (50cmx30cmx20cm) at the baggage area during the race where, if possible it will be manned , and although every effort will be made to securely store your baggage, Please DO NOT leave any valuables, cash. Jewellery etc in your bag as we cannot be held responsible for any loss or damage. Items not in a bag maybe refused or left at your own risk.
A baggage facility may not be available at each event.
