Race number and chips are to be collected on race day after 8 am.
The 5K & 10K will take place on October 21st 2018, 9:30am & 10:30am. Fun Run at 9.00am.
Race HQ (Mold Leisure centre) opens at 8am.
- Changing facilities and showers available
- T-shirts and medals will be given out at the finish line,
- Presentation of prizes is at 11:45 am.
Road/Lane will be closed from the Wrexham Road at the B5444 Mold Bypass roundabout to Gas Lane/Brook Street from 8:55am, in this direction only, residential access will be maintained when safe & clear. All other roads of the route remain open to traffic so please expect cars and listen to marshal instructions on crossing points and keep on pavements, it is your responsibility to stop for a car approaching a junction.
Roads will be closed from the Wrexham Road at the B5444 Mold Bypass roundabout to Gas Lane/Brook Street from 8:55am, therefore to access parking after this time you must use the ring road A494/A5119.
There are plenty of car parks around the town (charges may apply). The nearest parking to the start are at:- Ysgol Maes Garmon, Conwy Street (CH7 1JB) and the other on the A5119 next to the Co-op (charges apply). Ysgol Maes Garmon will fill up pretty quickly and, if arriving during road closures please follow instructions above to alternative parking . Please try an avoid parking along Brook Street & Ffordd Nercwys as this is part of the race route.
First Aid cover will be provided by a professional medical team. First Aid station will be located at the start and finish and on course. In order to help our medical team, help you it is critical you fill out the medical history information on the back of your race number. If you are injured or unwell to carry on at any stage please notify the nearest marshal who will call for First Aid assistance. It will be the discretion of the medical team if they transport you back to the finish.
If you retire from the race please return your timing chip, & if you plan not to return to the finish, it’s really important that you let the nearest Marshal to you know and give them your race number & Timing Chip. This is so we can account for you at the end of the race. It is your responsibility to arrange transport back to the start.

Baggage – Opens from 8:00am sports hall
You may leave a small bag (50cmx30cmx20cm) at the baggage area during the race where, if possible it will be manned , and although every effort will be made to securely store your baggage, Please DO NOT leave any valuables, cash. Jewellery etc in your bag as we cannot be held responsible for any loss or damage. Items not in a bag maybe refused or left at your own risk.
A baggage facility may not be available at each event.
Merchandise – Opens at 8:00am
If you ordered a Technical Tshirt or hoodie online, these can be picked up from the merchandise trailer before or after the race, we will also have some available on race day.(Cash only)

Headphones are not allowed during this race in accordance with UK Athletics rules as the course does not have a full road closure with the exception of bone-conducting headphones.

Please be mindful and respect local residents and DO NOT throw your bottles, energy gels in gardens or over walls etc. Where possible please leave your litter at the nearest water station or with the nearest marshal where possible when a bin is not available. Runners will now be disqualified and taken off the results if seen deliberately discarding their rubbish outside of a water stop or not with a marshal.

Cut off times
Time limit – We ask runners to be able to keep a pace of 12min mile. If you are running slower than this pace, you will still be able to finish, however, when directed to do so you will need to run on pavements and run as a pedestrian obeying all signals and the highway code. We cannot guarantee volunteer marshals will continue to be on course and therefore it is your responsibility to look at the route and follow the course signs.
Where there are any road closures these will re-open to vehicular traffic on a rolling basis at an approximate pace of 12min mile.
