Getting to the start in Rhyl & Parking
The start / finish is located at the Rhyl outdoor events arena close to the Sea Life centre,adjacent to the High Street on the promenade approx 400mtrs past the Sun Centre and Pavilion Theatre which is on your right side when entering Rhyl from Chester direction.
Please note parking in and around Rhyl town centre is pay and display. You have several options for parking, a large car park to the rear of the Pavilion Theatre, along the promenade front, also the underground parking near the Sea Life Centre. Race HQ / Enquiries open at 8am
Race HQ is at the RNLI Lifeboat Station on the sea front next to the start.
Number & Chip Pick up
Please pick up your number and chip from race HQ after 8am, the chip will need to be attached to your shoe, this is easily done using a small cable tie which will be provided.
The chip will need to be returned when collecting your Tshirt and Medal.
Toilets / Changing
Toilets are located right next to the start finish in the round brick building.
You may leave a small bag (50cmx30cmx20cm) at the baggage area during the race where, if possible it will be manned , and although every effort will be made to securely store your baggage, Please DO NOT leave any valuables, cash. Jewellery etc in your bag as we cannot be held responsible for any loss or damage. Items not in a bag maybe refused or left at your own risk.
A baggage facility may not be available at each event.
Bad weather route
There will be a water station (Brecon Carreg Water 300ml bottles) at approx 3 1/2 miles and 7 miles.
First Aid cover will be provided by a professional medical team. First Aid station will be located at the start and finish and on course. In order to help our medical team, help you it is critical you fill out the medical history information on the back of your race number. If you are injured or unwell to carry on at any stage please notify the nearest marshal who will call for First Aid assistance. It will be the discretion of the medical team if they transport you back to the finish.
If you retire from the race please return your timing chip, & if you plan not to return to the finish, it’s really important that you let the nearest Marshal to you know and give them your race number & Timing Chip. This is so we can account for you at the end of the race. It is your responsibility to arrange transport back to the start.

Presentation/ T-shirts / Medals
There will be a cotton Tshirt and medal for all runners to collect at the finish.
Presentation prizes will be presented at approx. 12:15pm.
You must be at the presentation to claim your prize, we will not post it out.
If you ordered a Technical Tshirt or hoodie online, these can be picked up from the merchandise trailer/tent before or after the race, we will also have some available on race day to purchase.
At each race we have a huge jumble sale of old stock from past races, these items are on a cash only sale.

Headphones are not allowed during this race in accordance with UK Athletics rules as the course does not have a full road closure with the exception of bone-conducting headphones.

Please be mindful and respect local residents and DO NOT throw your bottles, energy gels towards the Sea in gardens or over walls etc. Where possible please leave your litter at the nearest water station or with the nearest marshal where possible when a bin is not available. If you are found throwing your rubbish along the course you will be disqualified!
Cut off times
Time limit – We ask runners to be able to keep a pace of 12- 15min mile. If you are running slower than this pace, you will still be able to finish, however, when directed to do so you will need to run on pavements and run as a pedestrian obeying all signals and the highway code. We cannot guarantee volunteer marshals will continue to be on course and therefore it is your responsibility to look at the route and follow the course signs.
Where there are any road closures these will re-open to vehicular traffic on a rolling basis at an approximate pace of 15min mile.
