COVID- 19 UPDATE – 1st June
Due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic and uncertainty around sporting events at this time RunFest Wales will be postponed till later in 2020. As Sep/Oct/Nov is very busy in the running worlds calendar, we are proposing 20th December 2020 to host this years event. We are continuing to work with the local councils and land owners in order to secure this date, whilst closely following the government guidelines on sporting events and the easing of social distancing.
All entries for this event to date will be transferred over to the new date later this year. As a secondary option, if you can’t make the new proposed date. You will be able to complete the event virtually and claim your medal. Many of you will be looking to complete the 10k in order to collect all of the Coastal Series medals in 2020. With medals and many other items like licences, insurance, timing chips and much more are all ordered and paid for months in advance we have all the 700 medals as originally planned here with us. Full details on how to complete your run virtually and claim you medal will be shared in July.
Again, we are really saddened and sorry to have to share this news, but with our friends, family, staff, volunteers and participants all in mind we feel this is the best and safest option for everyone involved. We hope you can understand the situation we are currently facing and continue to support all our events in the future once safe to do so!
Stay safe, healthy and we hope to see you back on our start lines soon.

COVID- 19 UPDATE – 29th April
Welsh Athletics along with the Home Countries & UKA have continued to review the situation relating to COVID-19 on a daily basis, and today the decision has been announced to extend the suspension of competition throughout the UK until the end of June.
COVID- 19 UPDATE – 19th April
Firstly, we hope everyone is staying fit whilst of course staying healthy and safe. Running events will return to the calendars one day and we will all be very much looking forward to get back in the outdoors together again.
In light of the latest announcement from the Government around the extended lockdown, we wanted to let you know we will continue to work behind the scenes on bringing you this event later this year. Whilst working with our local land owners, councils and Welsh Athletics we will also be keeping on top of all the latest Government news on when we can again host an event safely.
Again thanks for your understanding, support and patience in these difficult times.
COVID- 19 UPDATE – 6th April
Due to the ongoing uncertainty around the immediate future of the events in June and the development of Covid-19. We remain concerned for our families, friends, participants and volunteers, and for this reason whilst working with the local area and authorities we have decided to postpone the RunFest Wales event until later in the year. Rest assured we are working hard with all parties to make the staging of this event happen in 2020. We wanted to give you a clear update on what’s happening, however, unfortunately at this time we don’t have any confirmed dates to share just yet. With events like this we have to included and have the blessing of many people, including local authorities, land owners, Welsh Athletics and of course the sea tide timetable!
Please note, we are hoping to have a new confirmed date within the next couple of weeks. We will update all pre entered participants and future participants as soon as we have information to share. Thanks for your understanding and patience in these difficult times. More importantly, stay safe and healthy!
