Amazing course, enough points to drink water.
Not for the weak! Really recommended if you are fit, but make sure you train running up- and downhill, because there's a lot of it.

Outstanding scenery
Done this 3 times now and gets better every year. Well organised with amazing views along the way. One of the friendliest half marathons I have done.

This is certainly challenging due to the hills (both up and down) but the scenery is fantastic. A well organised event with some fantastic volunteers

This is definitely a race to test your limits! Enjoyed every minute, the beauty of the surroundings keeps you going! Mile 11 is grueling! I cant wait to conquer it next year.

tough but rewarding!
Get ready for some tough climbs but amazing views and forestry tracks. definitely recommend to do this race but it is one of the hardest half marathons around , good luck on next year's race and see you there!!

It was stunning,first time i had run it would come back.
That hill at 11 miles that was fun but you found out what if you had trained enough,really enjoyed that,the run around the lakes was stunning,thank you for organising such a memorable event,came up from Southampton to take part.

Demanding course in 3 phases, great challenge beautiful scenery.
Lovely, friendly volunteers, well organised, 2 very challenging hill phases but beautiful course. Well worth doing again, but beginners and unprepared beware it will test you.

Tough but well worth it
Maybe slightly overcrowded near the start with registration, the toilets and the start line all in the same small space. Other than that it was great.

A half marathon with a difference. Might entice people enter fell/mountain running events.
